FC Barcelona will renew their rivalry with Espanyol in a Spanish La Liga match at the Camp Nou on July 08.

Barca were held to a 2-2 draw by a resilient Atletico Madrid side away in their last home league game which was played on June 30.

They are undefeated in their last 29 home matches in the league having recorded 26 wins and three draws.
 
Barcelona are scheduled to take on Villarreal at the Estadio de la Cerámica on July 05, before their host their city rivals Espanyol.

Quique Setien, the Barcelona manager, insists that he is not feeling any pressure ahead of the Derbi Barceloni.
“I don’t feel at all under threat. It’s a shame. We’re having more and more difficulties," Setien said.


"Leaving these points behind means we’re moving further away from the title. But we have to keep working."
 
Meanwhile, Espanyol are set to take on Real Sociedad at the Anoeta Stadium on July 02, before hosting Leganes at the RCDE Stadium on July 05.
 
The Magical are winless in their last six away matches in the league having recorded four defeats and two draws.
 
The last meeting between Barcelona and Espanyol in a league match was on 04 January 2020. The two teams played to a 2-2 draw in an encounter which was played at the RCDE Stadium.
