The 2026 Indonesian Grand Prix returns to the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit this weekend as the 17th round of the 2026 MotoGP season.

What to know about the Indonesian MotoGP

Mandalika, one of MotoGP’s newest and most scenic tracks, sits on Lombok’s southern coast. It is famous for its tropical backdrop, long front straight and flowing, overtaking-friendly layout.

The 4.3 km circuit features 17 turns (11 right, 6 left), a mix of fast sweeps, heavy braking zones and technical sections, with a longest straight of 723 metres.

Most recent race

The Japanese MotoGP (Round 16 at Motegi) delivered a dominant performance on 4 October.

Marc Márquez completed a perfect weekend (pole battle, Sprint win and race victory), while Jorge Martín finished second and Marco Bezzecchi third for an Aprilia 2-3.

Standings

Jorge Martín leads the 2026 MotoGP riders’ championship with 333 points, two points ahead of Marc Márquez.

Marc Márquez sits second with 331 points, followed by Marco Bezzecchi. Raúl Fernández, Pedro Acosta and Francesco Bagnaia remain in the chasing pack.

Ducati continues to lead the constructors’ standings ahead of Aprilia and KTM.

Quotes

“I felt good today, maybe even better than yesterday. From fifth place onwards, we were lapping at pretty much the same pace, which is definitely a positive," Fermín Aldeguer said after his 9th-place finish at the 2026 Japanese MotoGP and he will now defend his Indonesian MotoGP crown.

"Riding like that helps put the mistakes we made over the weekend behind us. We gained several positions and were fast. Physically, I’ve improved day by day, so we’re heading to Indonesia hoping to keep progressing and have a good weekend. I have great memories from there last year…”
