2026/27 Premier League, Matchday 6
Arsenal vs Leeds United
Emirates Stadium, London
Saturday 10 October, 13:3
Arsenal will look to bounce back to winning form in the Premier League when they resume the 2026/27 campaign with a home match against Leeds United. Set for the Emirates Stadium in London on the afternoon of Saturday 10 October, kick-off at 13:30.
Form
Second-placed Arsenal suffered a first defeat in any competition this season when they were thumped 3-0 away by Brighton & Hove Albion prior to the international break. The Gunners had won six successive matches across all competitions prior to their trip to the Seagulls.
Leeds played to a 0-0 draw at home to Crystal Palace in their last match. The Yorkshire club is unbeaten in the Premier League this season and sit in a lofty fifth place.
Team news
Arsenal are set to have Ben White, Piero Hincapie and Cristhian Mosquera back from injury, but Christos Tzolis is out with a hamstring issue, and Kai Havertz is a major doubt.
Leeds will be without Joe Rodon and Mateo Joseph, while Harry Wilson and Jean-Matteo Bahoya are both doubtful.
Head-to-head
Arsenal and Leeds have met in 129 matches across all competitions, with the Gunners claiming 55 wins compared to 41 for the Whites, while 33 games have been drawn.
Arsenal completed an emphatic league ‘double’ over Leeds in the Premier League last season, winning 5-0 in London in August 2025 and 4-0 away at Elland Road in January 2026.
Quotes
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta:
“We have to make sure we learn the lesson because this can't happen again. There are a lot of moments when the ball is 50-50 and it changes hands, and most of the time it was for them. Sometimes there were some technical errors involved that opened us up in a really difficult way, but that's something to learn.”
