Arsenal will be looking to make it two wins from two in the new Premier League season when they host Leicester on Saturday, August 13.

Mikel Arteta's side kicked off proceedings with a 2-0 derby win over London neighbours Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, where goals from Gabriel Martinelli (20') and Marc Guehi (OG 85') handed them all three points.

The Gunners have a good recent record against the Foxes, winning three of their last five top-flight encounters, including a league double last term.

Arteta was delighted to get off to a winning start in a testing environment and he hailed a resilient performance from his players to come out on top.

"Really pleased to be winning. Three points, a clean sheet, against a really difficult opponent and a really tough place. They got the people going, and as we expected we were going to have tough periods in the match," the Spaniard said.

"We showed great resilience to get through them, and (it is) really positive the way we started. We started really sharp, really mobile, really determined to play the way we wanted to play. Overall, positive."

The East Midlands outfit squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Brentford at the King Power Stadium on Sunday, much to the frustration of manager Brendan Rodgers.

Leicester now head to the capital in search of their first win in four attempts against the north Londoners, with Rogers seeing plenty of positives in the first half to build upon.

"It's a little frustrating but the performance level was very good at 2-0 and we defended corners very well," he told Sky Sports after the stalemate with the Bees.

'We'll look at the positives from it because there were a lot of those, but it was just frustrating that we didn't see it through."
