South Africa will take on Sri Lanka in the first match of the Test Series at the Kingsmeadow Cricket Ground between 13 and 17 February 2019. 
 

 
Proteas lost to Pakistan by 27 runs in the final T20 International match at SuperSport Park in Centurion on Wednesday.
 
However, the result had no effect on the outcome of the series as South Africa won it by a 2-1 margin, having won the first two matches.
 
All-rounder Chris Morris was one of South Africa's top performers in the final T20 match with a half-century (55 not out off 29 balls, 5 fours and 3 sixes).
 
Faf Du Plessis, Hashim Amla, Quinton De Kock and Kagiso Rabada will be keen to lead the Proteas to victory in the first Test match. 
 

 
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka lost by 366 runs to Australia in the second and final test match at Canberra's Manuka Oval on Tuesday.
 
As a result, Australia won the two-match Test series 2-0 having secured victory by an innings and 40 runs in the first test match.
 
Former Sri Lanka ODI captain Lahiru Thirimanne (30), who provided some resistance, was one of the Lions' best batsmen in the second test match. 
 
Thirimanne, Dimuth Karunaratne and Dinesh Chandimal will be hoping to play an important role in helping the Lions win in Durban.
