Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton will be determined to bounce back to winning ways when he participates in the Dutch Grand Prix

The British superstar has failed to win the last two races this season and he will be under pressure to clinch the trophy in the Netherlands.

Hamilton, who is one of the greatest Formula One drivers of all time, settled for the third spot in the most recent race which was the Belgian Grand Prix on August 29.

This year's Belgian Grand Prix was won by Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing-Honda, while Williams driver George Russell secured the runner-up spot.

Hamilton is placed at the top of this year's Drivers' Championship standings as he looks to continue his dominance in Formula One.

Verstappen is placed second on the standings, while McLaren-Mercedes driver Lando Norris is still sitting third on the table.

Hamilton, who is the reigning Formula One world champion, will be keen to open a gap at the top by winning the Dutch Grand Prix title.

"Firstly, I’m really disappointed for the fans. It’s no one’s fault, you can’t control the weather," Hamilton said after a rain-marred Belgian Grand Prix.

"But the fans have been incredible today, sticking with us the whole time, holding out for a potential race, keeping their energy up and creating the atmosphere. They were robbed of a race today, unfortunately.

"I love racing in the rain, but today was something else. You couldn’t see the car ahead, there was aquaplaning, it was so, so tricky out there. It’s a shame because of course I wanted to race and I love this track as well," he added.

"I think it would have been a great race if it hadn’t rained so hard, but unfortunately it just didn’t stop."

Mercedes are placed at the top of the Constructors' Championship standings and they are followed by Red Bull Racing-Honda and McLaren-Mercedes respectively.
