South Africa and England will meet in the 1st T20I match in East London on Wednesday, February 12.
England beat South Africa in the 3rd ODI match by two wickets to draw at 1-1 in the three-match series in Johannesburg on Sunday.
Spinners Adil Rashid (3-51) and Moeen Ali (1-42) were both very influential for the Poms as they helped England restrict South Africa to 256-7.
South African batsman Quinton de Kock and David Miller caught the eye as they both hit 69, but they could not help the Proteas avoid a defeat.

De Kock was named Momentum Man of the Series as the leading runs scorer, including a century and half-century.
Rashid played his 100th ODI match for England, while teammate Saqib Mahmood made his ODI debut.
Meanwhile, England ODI captain Eoin Morgan says they will have to be ruthless when they take on South Africa in the 1st T20I match.
"We bowled really well - Adil and Moeen came in and showed their value. Adil in particular, his control and variation were outstanding," Morgan said.
"It was disappointing to limp over the line. Ideally we would have chased it four or five down. We would have liked to win commandingly.
"Tom Banton showed a lot of promise, Joe Denly's two knocks were really good, Saqib came in and bowled beautifully, and likewise Parky [Matt Parkinson] in the first game," he added.
"We showed a lot of promise but we need to develop our ruthlessness."
