“In the last two games, we have found ourselves five times in front of the goalkeeper without being able to score," Bologna manager Sinisa Mihajlovic said after their loss to Atalanta.

"We deserved to win it, but against such teams, it is enough to give half a chance to be punished. The game is all here. The team is united, always trying to play the game.

"But we lack nastiness at the sidelines and a bit of serenity. Goals can be missed: only those who work make mistakes."

The last meeting between Milan and Bologna in a league game was on 23 December 2021.

Milan outsmarted Bologna in a six-match thriller as they won 4-2 in a match that was played at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara which was built in 1927.
