Graeme McDowell will be among the golfers who will be eager to make history by winning the
Corales Puntacana Championship for the second time.
The Northern Irish star won this tournament in 2019 after closing with a 3-under 69 for a one-stroke victory over Chris Stroud and Mackenzie Hughes.
It was McDowell's first PGA Tour title since November 2015 when he clinched the OHL Classic at Mayakoba after prevailing in a sudden-death playoff over Jason Bohn and Russell Knox.

McDowell, who turned professional in 2002, has won four PGA Tour tournaments and he is well known for winning the 2010 US Open.
By winning the US Open, McDowell became the second European to win the event since 1925 and he rose to number 13 in the world rankings, then a career-high.
The Portrush-born golfer's last win as a professional came at the European Tour's 2020 Saudi International with a score of 12 under par.

The win marked his first title on the European Tour since 2014 and also improved his world ranking from 104 to 47, but he is currently ranked 359.
McDowell has been touted as the next Europe Ryder Cup team captain in recent weeks and he has admitted that he is interested in the role, but he is also eager to start playing well consistently.
“Part of me would love to because part of me thinks, if I don’t take this one, I might not get it, which would be disappointing,” McDowell said on Golf.com.
“But I kind of have to put my own individual career first, I feel like," the 42-year-old continued.
"I desperately want to get back playing consistently well at a high level again rather than maybe taking my attention away and taking the Ryder Cup captaincy."
