Real Madrid will take on Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first-leg clash at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on February 26.

The Spanish giants secured their place in the knockout phase after finishing second in Group A behind French champions PSG.

They are undefeated at home in this season's tournament having recorded one win and two draws against PSG and Club Brugge.

Real are record 13-time Champions League winners and they are keen to go all the way and clinch their 14th trophy this season.

Meanwhile, City eased into the Round of 16 after finishing at the top of Group C ahead of Italian outfit Atalanta.

The English champions are undefeated on the road in this season's competition having registered two wins and one draw against Atalanta.

City have never won the Champions League title and they will be hoping to lift it for the first time under their accomplished manager Pep Guardiola this season.
 
Guardiola, who hails from Spain, is looking forward to facing Real having coached their rivals FC Barcelona.

"It's an incredible test for us but we will try to prepare as well as we can to arrive as good as possible. We will see," Guardiola said.

"It is what it is and we want to make a step as a team so we have to face them sooner or later.

"They have more experience in this competition. For us it’s an incredible experience to face them and we will try to compete with them and I have incredible confidence in my team."

The last time Real and City clashed in a competitive match was on the 4th of May 2016.

Real secured a 1-0 victory over City in the Champions League match at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
