The 2025 Dutch MotoGP is scheduled to take place in the northeast of the Netherlands in the capital of the province of Drenthe, Assen, on June 29.
What to know about the Dutch MotoGP
The race was established in 1925 as the Dutch Tourist Trophy, also known as the TT Assen, and it is held on the TT Circuit Assen, which has been hailed as the ‘Cathedral of Speed'.
The Dutch MotoGP attained world championship status in 1949 when it was sanctioned by the FIM as part of the inaugural Grand Prix motorcycle racing world championship season, making it the oldest event on the MotoGP calendar.

The Italian MotoGP, which was the eighth round of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship calendar, took place on June 22.
The race was won by Marc Marquez, while Alex Marquez finished second and Fabio Di Giannantonio secured the third spot, with all three riders representing Ducati.
Standings
Marc Marquez is still placed at the top of the 2025 MotoGP riders' standings, having won five races in the current season.
His brother, Alex, and Francesco Bagnaia are placed second and third, respectively, as the three Ducati riders compete for the MotoGP world championship.
Looking at the constructors' standings, Ducati are placed at the top, having won seven races this season, followed by Honda and KTM, respectively.
Favourites
All eyes will be on Marc Marquez, Alex Marquez and Bagnaia at the TT Circuit Assen, as the top three riders battle to be crowned MotoGP world champions at the end of the season.
Ducati's Franco Morbidelli, who is placed fourth in the riders' standings, will be determined to keep up with the top three riders by winning the Dutch MotoGP.
