Rory McIlroy will be eager to register his fourth victory of the year (2025) by winning the
Genesis Scottish Open, having won the tournament in 2023.
What to know about McIlroy
The Northern Irish superstar turned professional in 2007 after ranking as the low amateur and winning the silver medal at the Open Championship in the same year.
McIlroy is currently on 44 professional tournament wins, including 29 PGA Tour victories and 19 European Tour wins, while also being a five-time major champion.

The accomplished golfer took a short break from competitive golf after competing in the Travellers Championship in Connecticut, USA, where he finished sixth.
McIlroy is currently ranked second in the Official World Golf Rankings and spent over 100 weeks in the top spot during his career.

The three-time European Tour winner has been playing some of his best golf this season, having won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, The Players Championship and the Masters.
McIlroy won the Genesis Scottish Open, one stroke ahead of Robert MacIntyre in 2023 and he will be looking to replicate the same form at a familiar venue, the Renaissance Club.
