Kick-off is at 17h00

Tottenham will continue to push for a top-four finish in the Premier League when they entertain Brighton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, February 10.

Spurs have been in and out of the UEFA Champions League places this season and they were pushed back down to fifth position after being held to a 2-2 draw by Everton at Goodison Park on February 3.

Aston Villa moved up to fourth spot as they went two points clear of Ange Postecoglou's side courtesy of a 5-0 mauling of rock-bottom Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on February 3.

Manchester United (6th) closed within six points of the North Londoners with a 3-0 victory over West Ham at Old Trafford on February 4 which saw them open up to two-point gap on the Hammers (7th).

The Seagulls (8th) picked up their first win of the New Year as they beat Crystal Palace 4-1 at the Amex to arrest a three-game winless run and pull two points ahead of Newcastle (9th), who could only manage a 4-4 draw with Luton at St James' Park.

In team news, Postecoglou remains without Heung-Min Son, Yves Bissouma (both international duty), Manor Solomon (knee) and Ryan Sessegnon (thigh), although Giovani Lo Celso (thigh) is closing in on a return. Kaoru Mitoma and Simon Adingra (both international duty) are unavailable for Albion counterpart Roberto De Zerbi, who is also missing James Milner (thigh), Solly March, Julio Enciso and Joel Veltman (all knee) through injury.

Postecoglou felt it was a case of two points dropped on Merseyside after his team failed to take their chances against the Toffees and were made to pay late on when Jarrad Branthwaite scored a 94th-minute equaliser.

"I'd never say it was a good point - we try to win games of football. Yes, disappointed not to do that today, conceding so late. Ultimately, we've just got to take it on the chin," he told SPURSPLAY.

"It's not an easy place to come and try to play fluidly. For the most part, I thought we handled it okay. We lost a bit of composure in the first half. Second half, I thought we played some decent stuff, created a few chances and probably needed a third goal to kill them off.

"You know in the last 10 minutes, everything is going to go their way, it did, you have to deal with it and unfortunately, we didn't deal with the last one. We can only control what we do and there were little moments we could have done better."

De Zerbi was delighted to get a reaction from his players against Palace after suffering a humiliating 4-0 defeat to the Hatters at Kenilworth Road the previous weekend.

"We played very well, and I am very proud of my players. We suffered a lot after the Luton game but today we showed our quality," the Italian said.

"I knew after the Luton game that we would play like we did today - I know my players. I know their human qualities. I believe in them when we win and when we lose and I know how good they are as people."
