Viktor Hovland will be looking to make history by becoming the first golfer to win the
Hero World Challenge three times in a row.
What to know about Hovland
The Norwegian star is one of the most talented young golfers in the world having clinched events that are part of the PGA Tour and European Tour.
Hovland has won 10 professional tournaments including six PGA Tour events and two European Tour titles since turning pro in 2019.

The 26-year-old took part in the recent 2023 DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, UAE and he finished second in the European Tour event on November 19.
Hovland will now return to action at the Hero World Challenge while placed fourth on the Official World Golf Rankings and his best OWGR ranking is third place.
Why Hovland is among the favourites
The 2023 FedEx Cup Champion will be heading back to one of his favourite golf courses, the Albany Golf Club where he lifted the last two Hero World Challenge trophies.
Having won three PGA Tour events in 2023 namely Tour Championship, BMW Championship and Memorial Tournament, Hovland is a clear favourite to win the Hero World Challenge.

“Scottie [Scheffler] just had a phenomenal start and kind of pushed me to keep going,” Hovland said after winning the 2022 Hero World Challenge.
“I think I was three-under through five holes and I was only leading by one. I was thinking before the day started, that if I get off to a nice start, I can really build a good lead.
"So hats off to him, he played some great golf. Then in middle portion of the round I just kept making pars and kind of put it to him to try to come back. Yeah, it was a little up and down overall today, but glad to finish it out.”
