As the last notable high-profile tournament on the PGA Tour, the Tour Championship will bring together 30 of the sport’s finest players, with the battle tested Tommy Fleetwood eager to defend his crown in Atlanta this coming week.
Apart from being an eight-time winner on the European tour, 2025 proved to be one of the biggest years in Fleetwood’s career as he captured the Tour Championship and FedExCup in style to make his mark among golf’s elite.
Fleetwood was also part of the European team that claimed a 15-13 win over the United States in the 2025 Ryder Cup, where he won both foursome matches alongside Rory McIlroy, including wins in his four-ball assignments next to Justin Rose.
Amid an impressive run in 2025, Fleetwood also claimed the DP World India Tour Championship title, noting a final-round 7-under 65, two shots over Keita Nakajima.
As his best showing this year, Fleetwood could only manage fourth at the 2026 Open Championship, suffering on the final day by recording three consecutive bogeys between holes 9-11.
Currently seventh on Golf’s world rankings, Fleetwood expressed his intention to climb the table, notably to close the gap on world number one Scottie Scheffler.
"I think, in general, in the world of golf, Scottie is a great person to chase,” Fleetwood said at the FedEx St. Jude Championship earlier this month.
“Whether it’s a tournament this week or because he’s the best golfer in the world, and you can all look up to him and try to chase him."
