The
2026 US Open Championships are set to take place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center between 30 August and 13 September.
What to know about the tournament
This will be the 146th edition of the US Open, established in 1881, and the fourth and final Grand Slam event of 2026.
The US Open will comprise singles, doubles and mixed doubles play. Junior, wheelchair and invitational tournaments are also scheduled.

Carlos Alcaraz will defend his Men’s singles title and Aryna Sabalenka is the Women’s singles defending champion.
Several big names will be missing, including world No. 1 Jannik Sinner (knee injury), Jack Draper, Emma Raducanu, Victoria Mboko and Sebastian Korda.
The Favourites
The main contenders for the men’s title are Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev and Novak Djokovic, while Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina, Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff lead the women’s challengers.
On the rankings, Jannik Sinner holds a large lead at the top of the ATP list, while Sabalenka’s narrow advantage over Rybakina on the WTA rankings could change depending on results in New York.
What Is At Stake
The 2026 US Open singles champions will each receive $5.5 million in prize money from a record total purse of $108 million.
Runners-up will earn $2.8 million, semi-finalists $1.45 million and first-round losers $140,000.
