Scottie Scheffler will be keen to be crowned as the 2025 FedEx Cup champion by winning the
Tour Championship for the second time.
What to know about Scheffler
The American star had a successful amateur career, including victory at the US Junior Amateur in 2013 and low-amateur honors at the 2017 US Open.
Since turning professional in 2018, Scheffler has won four major championships and he has also clinched 23 professional tournaments, including 18 PGA Tour events.

The 1,91 meters tall golfer participated in the recent BMW Championship in Maryland, USA, where he reigned supreme as he was crowned champion.
Scheffler is still placed at the top of the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR), having spent over 150 weeks in the position.
Why Scheffler is among the favourites
The 29-year-old clinched the 2024 Tour Championship by four strokes as he beat Collin Morikawa and prior to that, he finished second behind Rory McIlroy in 2022.
Scheffler is in great form at the moment, having won five events in the current season and he is a clear favourite to win this weekend's Tour Championship.

“At the end of the day you have to perform when it matters the most. I think now with the format we have, we have a great format of a 72-hole golf tournament,” Scheffler said when asked about the 2025 Tour Championship being played as a 72-hole stroke-play event.
“If I want to win the FedExCup, I have to play well at the last week of the season, and it's just simple as that.”
“I didn't love the previous format of starting strokes,” Scheffler said, “and I really like the direction where we're going.”
