Sitting comfortably at the top of the MotoGP Rider’s standings, Marc Marquez will now aim for his ninth win of the season heading into the
Austrian Grand Prix.
With eight wins to his name so far this season, Marquez has already opened up a 120 point gap over his brother Alex Marquez following his victory at the Czechia MotoGP on Sunday, 20 July.
More impressively, Marquez has now completed five consecutive doubles this season, while the rest of the pack are yet to win more than one race on the circuit.
With 10 races to go, Marquez played a major role in Ducati’s leadership at the top of the Constructor’s list, with the popular team leading the way on 430 points.
Reflecting on the race for the 2025 title, Marquez revealed that he is ready to challenge for the number one spot after the mid-season break.
“I’m not going to say where or when I want to clinch the title. Honestly, I’m approaching the final 10 races of the season after the summer break with the mindset that I’m the only one who can lose this championship.
“So, if we have to manage things, we will. But if we can win, we’ll absolutely go for it.”
