The Rays lost to Houston in five games in the ALDS last year and Tampa Bay coach Kevin Cash knows what to expect from the Astros.

"We respect how talented they are, but they are the team we [took] to Game 5, and we fell short," Cash said.

"That experience probably helped us get to where we are right now, and the irony is that we're playing them again now over seven games."

Meanwhile, the National League Championship Series (NLCS) will also be the best-of-seven series and the winner will qualify for the World Series.

Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers are the two sides which are scheduled to clash in this year's NLCS.

The Braves thrashed Miami Marlins 3-0 in the National League Division Series (NLDS), while the Dodgers also defeated San Diego Padres 3-0 in the other NLDS.

The Dodgers are six-time World Series champions, while the Braves have won the title three times.
