Ducati Lenovo Team's Marc Marquez will be seeking his first win in the
Catalan Grand Prix since 2019 on Sunday, September 7.
The Spaniard has dominated the MotoGP scene this season, winning 10 of the 14 races to date and finishing on the podium 12 times.
Marquez only failed to pick up points on one occasion - the Grand Prix of the Americas - when he crashed out while leading in Austin, Texas.
The 32-year-old leads the riders' standings by 175 points ahead of his brother, Alex and has stood on the top step of the podium in the last seven races.
Marquez has triumphed in Barcelona twice, with his first victory coming in 2014, while he finished third last season to end a poor recent record there.
The former six-time world champion has moved to dismiss comparisons between the current campaign and his last title win in 2019, insisting he's not riding as aggressively anymore.
"Different versions," Marquez said. "Of course, in 2019 for example it was different. Maybe the way I did the time attacks, the way I was fast immediately, or the way I approached the races was more aggressive.
"Now, I'm riding in a different way, smoother, just trying to use more the experience. But, you never know. Of course, what I know is now I'm in the best bike with the best team and it's in my hands to win races and to achieve my main goal, which is the world championship."
