Serie A
Matchday 38
Bologna v Inter Milan
Renato Dall'Ara
Bologna, Italy
Saturday, 23 May 2026
Kick-off is at 18:00
With Inter Milan calling time on the 2025/26 season as the new Serie A champions, the Italian giants will turn their attention to Bologna away in their final league assignment on Saturday.
Inter will finish the season as the best attacking team in Serie A after noting 86 goals so far, following their 1-1 draw with Verona during Matchday 37.
As it stands, Inter sit on 86 points after 37 games, having noted an impressive 27 wins en-route to the final match of the campaign. However, Inter will end the season on a less desirable note after recording three wins and two draws in their previous handful of Serie A matches.
Bologna on the other hand, are on a run of two consecutive wins after collecting maximum points against Napoli and Atalanta respectively.
Sitting in eighth position, Bologna accumulated 55 points for the season so far, three points behind Atalanta who occupy the UEFA Conference League position. However, Bologna has a significant goal difference disadvantage over Atalanta and will likely settle for eighth position overall.
As for their form across the last five matches, Bologna recorded two wins, two losses and one draw as their season comes to a close.

Reflecting on Inter Milan’s successful 25/26 campaign, Cristian Chivu expressed that his side dealt with many ‘ups and downs’ en-route to securing the Scudetto.
“We celebrated last week, today it’s the trophy lift and the parade. The euphoria has passed, but today we have the chance to show off the two trophies we won thanks to these guys,” Chivu said.
“There are always ups and downs over eight months, you have to know how to overcome the difficult times we had at the beginning of the season, and without getting too excited when we won 14 out of 15 games. We need balance.
“I’ve been here for 19 years, it’s a beautiful feeling for me, but I’m even happier for my boys and for these fans.”
