World no.1 Scottie Scheffler will go in search of his fifth major as he aims to defend his title at the PGA Championship from 14-17 May.
The American added the year's second major to his list of accolades when he carded an 11-under 273 to beat Bryson DeChambeau, Harris English and Davis Riley by five strokes in 2025.
Scheffler also went on to win the Open Championship last year and he just needs the US Open to complete the fabled grand slam, having finished T2 in 2022.
The 29-yaear-ol has been super consistent again this season, achieving six top-10 finishes and claiming the 20th PGA Tour win of his career at the American Express in January.
Scheffler has finished second in each of his last three outings on the Tour: the Masters Tournament, the RBC Heritage and the Cadillac Championship.
He opted to skip the Truist Championship last week, admitting that competing so close to a major doesn't appeal to him.
"I typically don't love playing the week before a major," Scheffler said. "It's nice to have so many tournaments that are really good. If I had it my way I would play every single week out here.
"But just the nature of our sport and the demand on our time and everything it's not really possible.
"If y'all were to walk with me each day of the tournament and see what we have to do in order to play one week, having to do that four weeks in a row... I wouldn't be able to perform my best.
"So when I show up at a tournament I want to be able to give it my best and I have to set up my schedule in a certain way and, you know, the chips kind of fall where they do."
