World no.1 Scottie Scheffler will be hoping for better luck on the greens as he looks to defend his title at the Byron Nelson from 21-24 May.
The American carded a course record 31-under 253 to beat Erik van Rooyen by eight strokes at TPC Craig Ranch in 2025 to register the 14th PGA Tour victory of his career.
Scheffler won another five events on the Tour last year, including the PGA Championship and the Open Championship, while he started this season strongly by claiming victory at the American Express in January.
The 29-year-old has gone on to achieve six top 10s and came up just short at the Masters Tournament, the RBC Heritage and the Cadillac Championship after finishing second in all three events.
Scheffler was the defending champion at the PGA Championship, but his putter let him down as he made three bogeys in a final round of 69 to finish seven shots behind winner Aaron Rai in T14.
"I'm pleased with how I battled," Scheffler told Sky Sports. "I battled really hard all week, I just couldn't get anything going on the greens. I feel like I gave myself a good amount of opportunities.
"Today was the day I hit a lot of greens, I just couldn't hole anything. That was the story of the week for me - it was just a matter of not holing putts.
"When I look back on a week like this, I feel I've had a really good year on the greens and to have a disappointing week on the greens at a major is a tough pill to swallow."
