With Pisa battling to cope at the bottom end of the Serie A table, the Black and Blues will now turn their attention to Cagliari on Sunday with the hope of ending their negative spell of results.
Pisa are currently in 20th place on the Serie A table, with just 15 points from 28 matches. Their poor record consists of one win, 12 draws, and 15 losses during the 2025/26 campaign and now face a serious threat of relegation to Serie B.
Their most recent result was a heavy 4-0 defeat against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium on 7 March, which was their fourth consecutive loss in the league. Pisa have now recorded four defeats and one draw in their last five and last tasted victory on 7 November 2025, during a 1-0 result against Cremonese at home.
Cagliari on the other hand, occupies 14th position, after noting 30 points from 28 matches. Much like Pisa, Cagliari are also fearing the drop and currently sit six points above the relegation zone.
I Rossoblu will go into their next game following a frustrating 2-1 loss to Como this past weekend; they recorded three losses and two draws in their previous handful of Serie A ties.

Speaking after Pisa’s heavy defeat to Juve, Oscar Hiljemark mentioned that his side was not up to standard despite a good performance leading up to the hour-mark.
“For the first 50 minutes we did well, then things became difficult and we didn’t keep the same defensive level,” Hiljemark said.
“From that moment on we played in a way I don’t want to see again. We basically gave away the first three goals. That cannot happen at this level.
“Of course, if we had scored early it might have been different. We have to be better in attack. They were more effective than us, especially after they opened the scoring.”
