Liverpool and Manchester City will meet in a crunch Premier League showdown at Anfield on Sunday 10 November 2019, kick-off at 18:30 CAT. The clash is one of 10 in the 12^th round of England’s top flight this coming weekend.

Liverpool had to fight hard for their last league victory, scoring two late goals through Andrew Robertson and Sadio Mane to defeat Aston Villa 2-1 away from home. It was not the most impressive performance from the Reds, but they showed a champions’ mentality to claim all three points.

The Spaniard has already begun some psychological warfare ahead of the trip to Liverpool, accusing Mane of being a diver. "Sometimes it is diving, sometimes it is this talent to score incredible goals in the last minute,” said Guardiola of Mane, adding that his side did “everything” to overcome Southampton and will need to dig deep again for the match on Merseyside.

In head-to-head stats, Liverpool and Man City have met in 166 previous matches. The Reds have claimed 79 wins compared to 45 for the Citizens, while 42 games have been drawn.

The teams’ Premier League clashes last season saw City claim four points: their clash at Anfield in October 2018 ended 0-0, while the return game at the Etihad Stadium was won 2-1 by the Manchester club thanks to goals from Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane.
