Juventus will square off with Fiorentina in a Italian Serie A match at the Allianz Stadium on December 22.
The Old Lady secured a 4-0 win away to Parma in their previous league game which was played on December 19. As a result, Juventus are undefeated in their last 13 matches in the competition, having recorded six draws and seven wins during this period.
They are also undefeated in their last six home matches in Serie A having registered two draws and four victories.
Gianluigi Buffon, the Juventus goalkeeper, has explained why their clash with Fiorentina is a must-win match.
“It was a match that we had to make our own in every way, now we have to win the next match at home and then the head-to-head matches will start," Buffon said.
"I also think that the response of the field in the big matches played so far has not always been a mirror of what has been seen on the pitch.
"Now it will be important for us to put together many convincing performances, showing off a good game, and then we can say that we are Andrea Pirlo's team."
Meanwhile, Fiorentina were held to a 1-1 draw by Hellas Verona at home in their previous league game which was played on December 19.
The draw extended the Purple One's winless run to eight matches, having recorded four defeats and four draws. They are also winless in their last six away games in Serie A having registered two draws and four defeats.
The last meeting between Juventus and Fiorentina in the league was on 2 February 2020. Juventus thrashed Fiorentina 3-0 in a match which was played at the Allianz Stadium.
