Following victories over England and Scotland, the Springboks will hope to maintain their winning streak in the Nations Championship against Wales this weekend, along with a couple of new faces taking to the pitch in Durban.
Erasmus named four uncapped players in his squad that will take on Wales at the Hollywoodbets Kings Park Stadium on Saturday, as Vusi Moyo, Jaco Williams, Ruben van Heerden and Carlu Sadie gear up to feature in their test rugby debuts.
The evergreen Pieter-Steph Du Toit will captain the side against Wales, while Cobus Reinach, Jesse Kriel, Damian De Allende, Jasper Wiese and Malcolm Marx will form the embryo of experienced players for the tie.
Erasmus and his coaching staff opted for a 5-3 split on the bench, with Andre Hugo Venter, Jan-Hendrik Wessels, Wilco Louw, Ben-Jason Dixon and Marco van Staden coming in as powerful forward reserves.

Also making the team is that of Herschel Jantjies, who is set to make his first test appearance in some three years. On the injuries front, Eben Etzebeth, Franco Mostert, Andre Esterhuizen, Canan Moodie, Handre Pollard and Ox Nche have all reported injuries and will be unavailable for the game.
While Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus reiterated their desire to test a huge pool of players this season, the iconic mentor hopes that the clash against Wales will come as a "memorable" occasion for younger players to shine.
“Building squad depth has always been one of our pillars since 2018, and to have such an exciting group of players coming through is fantastic as we continue to build our squad for the future,” Erasmus said.
“We have full faith in their abilities, and I’m sure the senior guys around them will assist in keeping them calm on the field, so they can show the talent that earned them a place in the squad.
“Hopefully, we can make it a memorable occasion for them and our loyal supporters this weekend.”
