As the reigning winner of the
Belgian Grand Prix, seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton will look to the race at Spa with much optimism.
Yet to earn his first podium finish this season, Ferrari's Hamilton gave a good account of himself at the British Grand Prix last time out.
While McLaren-Mercedes bagged a 1-2 finish, followed by Niko Hulkenberg’s P3 placing, Hamilton ended the race in P4 amid tricky wet weather conditions.
Also, Hamilton finished in P4 on three occasions this season, namely at the Emilia Romagna, Austrian and British Grand Prix.
Reflecting on his race on home soil, Hamilton explained that he has been struggling to get the best out of his Ferrari SF-25 Challenger.
“The car was unbelievably tricky to drive,” Hamilton said.
“I think ultimately, I learned a lot. There’s lots to take from the day.
“It’s only my second time driving in the wet in this car. I can’t even express to you how hard it is. It’s not a car that likes those conditions.”

As a positive, Ferrari are second on the Constructor’s list with 222 points, while Hamilton sits in sixth position on the Driver’s standings with 103 points accumulated so far.
