Omega European Masters
3-6 September 2026
Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club, Crans-Montana, Switzerland
Purse: $3.25 million
The Omega European Masters returns to the spectacular Swiss Alps from 3-6 September, with a star-studded field set to celebrate a landmark 25-year partnership between the tournament and title sponsor Omega.
Played at Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club, the event carries a $3.25 million purse and adds another chapter to a tournament steeped in history. The 2026 edition marks 25 years of collaboration with Omega, which has been title sponsor since 2001. It is also a fitting celebration for Europe’s oldest tournament played continuously on the same course, dating back to 1939.
The field is worthy of the occasion, with five of the current top 10 players in the Race to Dubai standings set to compete. Current leader Patrick Reed headlines the line-up, while Spain’s Eugenio Chacarra, third in the standings, adds youthful ambition to the mix.
A host of former champions will also return to Crans-Montana. Rasmus Højgaard, Sergio García, Matt Wallace, Thriston Lawrence, Danny Willett and the ever-popular Miguel Ángel Jiménez will all be looking to add another chapter to their tournament stories.
García’s appearance carries particular significance, with the Spaniard returning 21 years after claiming the title in 2005.
The tournament should also provide plenty of fireworks off the tee, with big-hitters Marco Penge and David Puig among those expected to take advantage of the course’s dramatic layout.
One of the more intriguing additions is John Daly Jr., who recently turned professional after establishing himself as one of the world’s leading amateurs. The 23-year-old American made his DP World Tour debut at the Nexo Championship in Scotland and will now make his second appearance on the circuit.
Following in the footsteps of his famous father, Daly Jr. will face the challenge of the iconic Severiano Ballesteros-designed course.
And the venue itself is in excellent shape. Recent heatwaves have been offset by investment in a new precision irrigation system, helping maintain playing conditions while improving sustainable resource management. That work helped Golf Club Crans-sur-Sierre earn the DP World Tour’s Best Venue award for sustainability.
With elite contenders, returning champions, emerging stars and one of golf’s most spectacular settings, the OMEGA European Masters promises a memorable silver jubilee in the Swiss Alps.
