Chelsea FC will be keen to use their home advantage to disrupt Manchester City’s Premier League title challenge when they welcome Pep Guardiola’s side to Stamford Bridge on 12 April.
Current Form
The Blues suffered a 3-0 defeat away to Everton in their last league outing on 21 March and they are winless in their last two league matches, recording two consecutive defeats.
Chelsea are also winless in their last three home matches in the Premier League, having registered two consecutive draws and one draw at Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham United away on 14 March and the stalemate extended their unbeaten run to eight matches in the league, recording three draws, and five wins.
The Citizens are also undefeated in their last four away matches in the Premier League, having registered two consecutive victories and two draws as the visitors.
Team News
Reece James, Trevoh Chalobah, Jamie Gittens, Levi Colwill and Filip Jørgensen are all on Chelsea’s injury list, and Mykhailo Mudryk continues to serve a doping ban.
Manchester City have two absentees in Nathan Aké and Savinho due to their respective injuries, but no suspension concerns for the Premier League title contenders.
