2025/26 Betway Premiership
Matchday 23
AmaZulu v Sekhukhune United
Princess Magogo Stadium
KwaMashu, South Africa
Monday, 6 April 2026
Kick-off is at 17h30
AmaZulu will continue their push for a top-three finish in the Betway Premiership when they welcome Sekhukhune United to the Princess Magogo Stadium on Monday, April 6.
Usuthu have struggled for consistency this season, with their best run coming between December and January which saw them record three consecutive wins against Golden Arrows (1-0), TS Galaxy (3-2) and Marumo Gallants (1-0).
But Arthur Zwane's side then lost their next three games before being held to a 0-0 draw by rock-bottom Magesi as they picked up just one point out of a possible 12.
The KZN outfit ended that poor run of results with back-to-back wins against Richards Bay (2-1) and Polokwane City (1-0) to go one point clear of Kaizer Chiefs (4th) in third place.

Babina Noko are a further two points back in sixth position and they will be desperate to snap a four-match winless streak which has allowed Durban City to leapfrog them into fifth spot.
Eric Tinkler's side have only won two of their nine outings in 2026 and they collected just two points last month after losing to Mamelodi Sundowns (3-1) and Arrows (1-0), while drawing with Durban City (1-1) and Rise And Shine (0-0).
However, Sekhukhune have a good recent record against AmaZulu, winning both encounters last season before sharing the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the start of the current campaign.

Zwane stressed the importance of keeping the momentum going in order to put his team in a strong position to qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup.
"It's quite important for us to win our games," he said. "As much as it's not going to be easy, even if we win like this sometimes, it's okay.
"What is key right now is to collect points. Once we do that, we position ourselves to fight for something better.
"This time of the season is very tricky. We are going to get teams desperate for points, either to avoid relegation, win the league or be in the top 8."
