The December fixture list is already in full-swing and following the round of midweek fixtures the teams are right back on English Premier League duty once again this weekend with a whopping eight matches taking place on Saturday alone.

Don’t miss a second of the entertainment as Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth welcome Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to the South-Coast in a potential banana skin fixture for the Reds. Manchester United look to end a run of three successive stalemates in the league when they host Fulham at Old Trafford before all eyes turn to Chelsea vs Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.

BOURNEMOUTH VS LIVERPOOL – VITALITY STADIUM

Bournemouth bounced back to winning ways by beating Huddersfield 2-1 on Tuesday following a run of four consecutive defeats in the division. Callum Wilson was on target once again for the Cherries, bagging his fifth goal from his last six outings, taking the 26-year-old’s tally to eight for the campaign, equalling his best-ever total in a Premier League season.

The Englishman is in fine form in 2018 and netted on his official England debut against the USA in a friendly last month, becoming the first Bournemouth player to score for the national team. He will be looking to add just his second-ever goal against the Reds on Saturday.

Wilson’s converted penalty kick-started the comeback that saw the Cherries claw their way from 3-0 down to claim a memorable 4-3 win in December 2016 – their only ever win over Liverpool to date. The corresponding fixture last season ended 4-0 to the visitors with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino both on the scoresheet.

The duo were left on the bench on Wednesday as Liverpool were made to work hard for their 3-1 win at Burnley, ensuring their unbeaten start remained intact after they went a goal behind rather controversially, early in the second-half.

MANCHESTER UNITED VS FULHAM – OLD TRAFFORD

The pressure is mounting on Jose Mourinho after he saw he Manchester United side concede the lead twice against Arsenal on Wednesday before eventually settling for a 2-2 draw, a result which now leaves the Red Devils without a win in their last four league matches since beating Bournemouth at the start of November.

Fulham picked up their first point under new manager Claudio Ranieri, against his former employers Leicester City, on Wednesday with fan favourite Aboubakar Kamara’s first-half strike cancelled out by James Maddison’s equaliser with 12 minutes to play.

The Cottagers have some serious work to do if they have any hopes of picking up a first win at the Theatre of Dreams since October 2003 – a run of 12 matches including 11 wins, although the last meeting between the pair ended in a 2-2 draw back in February 2014 when Darren Bent’s stoppage time goal earned a share of the spoils.

Fulham currently have the leakiest defence in the league and currently sit bottom of the pile after conceding 36 goals from their opening 15 matches.

ARSENAL VS HUDDERSFIELD – EMIRATES STADIUM

Despite, by the Gunner’s high standards this season, their disappointing draw at Old Trafford on Wednesday, Unai Emery’s men remain unbeaten in their last 20 matches in all competitions and have real reason to be optimistic going into this festive period.

Arsenal face three of the current bottom-four in their next three fixtures starting with Huddersfield at home on Saturday, before two tough away trips to Brighton and Liverpool respectively bring the curtains down on a festive period that will also see them complete their UEFA Europa League group stage before contesting the Carabao Cup quarter-final.

Huddersfield are struggling in this their second season in the English top-flight and are currently just a point above the dreaded relegation zone following a run of two wins from their last five matches.

This fixture last season, the first Premier League meeting between the pair, ended 5-0 to the Gunners after Alexandre Lacazette put the hosts in front as early as the third minute. The Frenchman will be hoping to return to the starting line-up on Saturday after making his last two appearances off the bench following his short injury lay-off. Lacazette currently has 6 goals and 5 assists to his name in 2018/19.
