Southampton will play host to Manchester City in an English Premier League match at the St Mary's Stadium on December 19.
This will be the 33rd meeting between the two teams in the English Premier League era.
City have the upper hand having recorded 18 wins compared to Southampton's seven victories, while seven matches ended in a draw.
However, Southampton stunned City in the last league meeting between the two teams on 5 July 2020.
The Saints secured a 1-0 victory in a match which was played at St Mary's Stadium.
Southampton thrashed Sheffield United 3-0 in their last home match in the league which was played on December 13.
The win saw the Saints return to winning ways at home as Manchester United had ended their three-match unbeaten run at the St Mary's Stadium before they hosted Sheffield.
Meanwhile, City were held to a 0-0 draw by Manchester United in their last away match in the league which was played on December 12.

As a result, the Citizens are winless in their last two away matches having recorded two successive draws.
Ralph Hasenhuttl, the Southampton manager, is expecting a difficult match against City as he reflected on their 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Wednesday.
"There is still a long way to go, but unbeaten for this month is good. Let's go now for a difficult home game against Man City," Rasenhuttl said.
"We could score, Reddie [Nathan Redmond]'s chance was a little bit unlucky. We tried to take that last risk but in the end we couldn't make it. Every point we take, we'll need come the end of the season.
"Theo [Walcot] is showing every week how important he is for us. It's good to have him here. He does it well in the moment."
