The Utah Jazz will look to shoot down the New Orleans Pelicans when the teams meet in an NBA Regular Season game at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City on the morning of Saturday 27 November 2021. Tip-off at 04:00.
The Jazz have been overtaken by the Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns as the pace-setters in the Western Conference, though they have an ace up their sleeve in the form of Rudy Gay, who scored 20 points in 119-103 win over the Toronto Raptors this past weekend. He missed Utah’s first 14 games while recovering from offseason surgery on his right heel – literally learning to walk again in the wake of the operation.

“It’s not easy. It takes a lot of dedication,” Gay said. “You got to be a little different and I’m a little different.”
“He played within himself,” Jazz coach Quin Snyder added. “Made the game easy because of the decisions that he made. He made shots, but that’s a by-product of making the right play.”
The Pelicans continue to languish near the base of the Western Conference, though this past weekend saw them shrug off a 20-point deficit to defeat the Los Angeles Clippers 94-81. Josh Hart challenged the Pelicans to "grow up" after they'd blown double-digit leads at Washington and Miami earlier in the week.

"It was a heck of a game in terms of maturity and growing up, and that's what we wanted to do," Hart said. "We know we let a couple slip away in Miami and D.C., and I'm proud of our guys."
In head-to-head stats, the Jazz and the Pelicans have met in 64 Regular Season games since 2002-03, with Utah claiming 41 wins compared to 24 for New Orleans. The teams’ last Regular Season meeting was in March 2021, with the Pelicans winning 129-124 at home thanks to 26 points from Zion Williamson.
