Jhonattan Vegas will be keen to emulate golf legends by becoming the fifth golfer to win the
Canadian Open three or more times.
What to know about Vegas
The Venezuelan golfer turned professional in 2008 having played college golf at the University of Texas, where he graduated with a degree in kinesiology.
Vegas has won six professional tournaments including three PGA Tour events and he was the first PGA Tour rookie to lead the FedEx Cup standings.

The 39-year-old has been inactive since he participated in the 2024 CJ Cup Byron Nelson where he missed the cut.
Vegas is currently ranked 455th on the Official World Golf Rankings and his best OWGR ranking is 35th.
Why Vegas is among the favourites
The Houston, Texas-based golfer was crowned Canadian Open champion twice - winning by one stroke in 2016 ahead of Dustin Johnson, Martin Laird and Jon Rahm.
Vegas then successfully defended the trophy in 2017 ahead of Charley Hoffman in a playoff and he is looking to clinch his third trophy this weekend.

"It's been a special day. I knew that I had to shoot a good round today to have a chance to win again," Vegas said after winning his second Canadian Open.
"I just came out with an aggressive mentality, just feeling really good about my game. When I started making a few birdies, especially the putt for birdie on 7, I started feeling the same chills that I felt last year when I won.
"And I just knew that something good could happen if I kept that going."
