The most recent race in the 2021 MotoGP World Championship season was the Catalan MotoGP which took place on June 6.

The 2021 Catalan MotoGP was won by Miguel Oliveira of KTM following an enthralling race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Montmeló, Spain.

The Portuguese rider was followed by the Ducati duo of Johann Zarco and Jack Miller, who finished second and third respectively.

Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo is still placed at the top of the 2021 Riders' standings, while Zarco and Miller are placed second and third respectively on the table.

Ninth-placed Brad Binder, the KTM rider, finished eighth at the Catalan MotoGP and he feels that he should have done better in the race.

“It was a really tough race. I didn’t get the best of starts because someone hit me in Turn 2 and I lost a few positions. I tried to fight my way through but I was really struggling to get out of the corners," Binder said.

"I was catching the group in front of me but then with three laps to go my rear tire was finished and it was like my speed fell off a cliff: it was impossible to keep going forward.

"I would have liked to have done a lot better than eighth place because I felt we had the potential, but I struggled with that rear traction [on Sunday],” he explained.

Yamaha are placed at the top of Constructors' Championship standings and they are followed by Ducati and KTM respectively.
