Verstappen eyes third successive Mexican GP title

The 2019 Mexican Grand Prix will take place on Sunday in Mexico City which is the capital city of Mexico.

This will be the 18th round of this year's Championship and it is set to take place at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
 
The circuit named after the legendary racing Mexican drivers Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez, who were brothers.
 
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen will be keen to defend his Mexican Grand Prix title having won the race twice in a row in 2017 and 2018.
 
Ferrari duo of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen finished second, and third respectively, but the latter has since joined Alfa Romeo. 
 
Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes.
 
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton remains at the top of the Drivers’ Championship standings and he could clinch his sixth title if results go his way this weekend.
 
The British driver, who finished third at the 2019 Japanese Grand Prix, is expecting a tough race in Mexico City this weekend. 
 
“I think Mexico is generally our worst race of the year because of the way our car is set up,” Hamilton said on Express. 
 
“And it's going to be a tough one for us. The last few have been pretty shocking, even though we've won the title there."

His teammate Valtteri Bottas, who still has a chance of winning his maiden Formula One title, is placed second on the standings - 64 points behind Hamilton.
 
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc and Verstappen are placed third, and fourth places on standings, and they have no chance of winning the title.
 
Mercedes has successfully defended the World Constructors' Championship, securing the title for the sixth consecutive year at the 2019 Japanese Grand Prix.
 
Vettel's Ferrari are placed second on the standings - 112 points ahead of third-placed Red Bull as the two constructors battle for the runner-up spot.
