South Africa will take on Ghana in the
2022 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier Group C match on March 25.
Bafana Bafana are undefeated in their last two matches across all competitions having recorded two successive wins.
They defeated Sao Tome and Principe in two back-to-back Group C matches which were both played in South Africa in November 2020.
As a result, Bafana are currently placed second on the group standings - level on points with leaders, Ghana, who are on top on head-to-head record.
South Africa succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Ghana's Black Stars in the last meeting between the two teams in November 2019.
The Group C encounter between the two former African champions was played in the Ghanaian city of Cape Coast.
Bafana will be seeking revenge when they take on the Black Stars at the 2010 FIFA World Cup venue, FNB Stadium in Nasrec.
Molefi Ntseki, the Bafana head coach, revealed his plan for their last two Group C matches against Ghana and Sudan
“We came up with a strategy going into both matches after we did our analysis on our next opponents, Ghana and Sudan," Ntseki said.
"We looked at opposition scouts that we want to send to all the teams that we are going to be playing against.
“We also got advice from the medical department in terms of the travelling to such countries, to say what the Covid-19 health protocols and requirements are.”
South Africa have won just one of their last three home matches, while the other two games ended in a draw against Namibia and defeat to Zambia.
The last time Bafana hosted the Black Stars was on 11 November 2016.
The international friendly match ended in a 1-1 draw and it was played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
