Despite a disappointing outing in their last Betway Premiership assignment, Kaizer Chiefs remains unbeaten in the league and will now turn their attention to Golden Arrows in a clash that will take place at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Sunday.
As it stands, Chiefs occupy fourth on the Betway Premiership table after accumulating 12 points from six matches.
Amakhosi will go into their next game on the back of a frustrating 1-1 draw with Polokwane City, which was their third stalemate in the Betway Premiership. Chiefs last tasted victory on 6 September, where they claimed a hard-fought 3-2 win over Siwelele on home soil.
Abafana Bes’thende on the other hand, will take to their own patch sitting in seventh spot with seven points from six games.
Arrows recorded a 1-1 draw with Siwelele in their most recent league tie as they failed to get back to winning ways following their 2-1 loss against Mamelodi Sundowns in the fixture prior.
The Kwa-Zulu natal side noted just one win for the season so far after they bagged maximum points in a 1-0 victory against Stellenbosch on 26 August.
Speaking after Chiefs' draw with Rise & Shine, Fernando Da Cruz lamented his side's inability to bury goal scoring chances, while voicing his discontent at defensie frailties.
"Because we scored one goal, we didn't make the break in this game, and after we made mistakes, we conceded one goal," Da Cruz said.
"And as we did against Richards Bay, we lost two points today. We created three, four chances today to score in the second half."
