The Rugby Sevens World Cup

The Rugby Sevens World Cup is back with 3 days of exhilarating action from Friday the 9th to Sunday the 11th. A total of 40 countries across both women’s and men’s squads will battle it out to be crowned Rugby Sevens World Cup champions.

The last Rugby Sevens World Cup took place during 2018 in the United States where England suffered a 33-12 loss to New Zealand. The All Blacks also took the cup during the 2013 World Cup in Moscow, Russia and will be looking to conquer again this year.

The teams competing this year include 2018’s top 8 which are England, South Africa, France, Fiji, Argentina, USA, Scotland and defending champs New Zealand. The other 16 qualified via their respective regional tournaments.

This year's venue is the iconic Cape Town Stadium, seating 68 000 the stadium is sure to come to life as South Africans are known for their vibrant, patriotic nature. All the action can be streamed live from the Rugby World Sevens 2022 official website.
