"Sundowns cannot put their name on each trophy especially with us as a brand as Orlando Pirates we are going to fight for each trophy that's available," Pirates co-interim coach Fadlu Davids said ahead of their clash with City.
"We're going to go for it flat out right up until the end of each tournament we are in and by no means are we giving up and saying everything is done as Mamelodi Sundowns are automatic winners.
"No, we have to look at ourselves and look at the process we are in but for sure we are going to fight for each trophy that's available that's for sure."
Pirates will be up against a City side which is winless in their last two matches in the league having drawn 0-0 with Swallows FC away in their previous game on September 24.
The Citizens lost to Stellenbosch FC in their last home game in this competition and the defeat ended their three-match unbeaten run in Cape Town.
