The 2026 Mexico City Grand Prix heads to the iconic Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez this coming weekend for Round 19 of the Formula 1 World Championship.
What to know about the Mexico City Grand Prix
Mexico's race history started with a non-championship event in 1962. Since then, it has hosted official World Championship races across three distinct eras at the exact same venue.
Since returning to the calendar in 2015, the circuit has become famous for its thin high-mountain air, its massive main straight, and the loud stadium section that gives it a unmatched race-day energy.
Most recent race
Andrea Kimi Antonelli dominated to secure victory for Mercedes at the United States Grand Prix at COTA on 25 October.
Charles Leclerc earned second place for Ferrari, while Max Verstappen completed the podium in third for Red Bull Racing.

Quotes
"The issues, of course, don't help, but I think also the strategy that we did with the tyre choices that we made, yeah, they were just not good," Verstappen said after his third-place finish at the 2026 US GP.
"So there's a few things to analyse. Why these tyres didn't work as we expected, or why the other tyres perform better than expected. Something to learn from."
