After slipping up at the top of the
Serie A table last week, Napoli will welcome Inter Milan to their own patch with both sides hoping to inflict serious damage to their respective 2025/26 title charges.
As it stands, Napoli are in third position on the log while Inter sit in second place as both sides share 15 points after seven matches played.
Napoli went into matchday seven at the top of the pile, however, a 1-0 loss to Torino saw the popular Italian outfit surrender their position.
Their fall into third was buffered by Inter’s 1-0 win against Roma last Saturday, which happened to be their fourth win on the spin.
Speaking after the defeat to Torino, Napoli coach Antonio Conte expressed that his side tried to be too fancy in the final third of the pitch.
"We moved the ball well and created situations in the first half,” Conte said after the match.
“However, we were too busy trying to be pretty, and basically we created their goal for them.
"There was more energy after the break, but not enough. So congratulations to Torino, but the fact is we did it all ourselves.”
