2025/26 Premier League

Matchday 9

Manchester United v Brighton and Hove Albion

Old Trafford

Manchester, England

Saturday, 25 October 2025

Kick-off is at 18h30

Manchester United will be targeting a third successive Premier League victory when they host Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford on 25 October.

Current Form

The Red Devils emerged as 2-1 winners over Liverpool FC away on 19 October and they are now unbeaten in their last two matches in the league.

United are also undefeated in their last three home matches in the Premier League, having registered three back-to-back victories at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Brighton emerged as 2-1 winners over Newcastle United at home on 18 October and they are unbeaten in their last four matches in the Premier League.

The Seagulls are also unbeaten in their last two away matches in the league, having registered two consecutive victories as the visitors.

Team News

United have no suspension concerns, but Lisandro Martinez is the only player on the 13-time Premier League champions' injury list at the moment.

Brighton, on the other hand, have Adam Webster, Solly March, Jack Hinshelwood, and Brajan Gruda on their injury list, but there are no suspension worries.

Quotes

“The team's on a little unbeaten run now. Saturday was a big step in the right direction," Brighton striker Danny Welbeck said after scoring the winning goal against Newcastle.

"I think there's been plenty of occasions where we've gone a goal up here at the AMEX and we've not followed through with the three points. It was nice to do that. It's a testament to the character and belief of the boys on the pitch and everybody when they equalised to push on and get that winning goal.

"That's something we've worked on as a group and with the coaching staff, so it was nice to see that come to fruition."

Head-to-Head
Brighton claimed a 3-1 win over United in their last meeting in the league, which was in January 2025 at American Express (AMEX) Stadium.

As a result, the Seagulls are undefeated in their last two Premier League games against the Red Devils, having recorded two consecutive wins.
