Last year's Bahrain Grand Prix was won by Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton who was followed by teammate Valtteri Bottas and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc over the line.
The most recent race in the 2020 season was the Turkish Grand Prix which was won by Hamilton.
Sergio Perez of Racing Point and Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel finished second and third respectively in Tuzla.
Hamilton, who has been crowned 2020 Formula One world champion, is sitting at the top of this year's Drivers’ Championship standings with an unassailable lead of 307 points.
Bottas is placed second on the Drivers' Championship standings with 197 points, while Red Bull's Max Verstappen is sitting on the third spot with 170 points with three races remaining.

Perez, who is now placed fourth on the Drivers' Championship standings, was ecstatic after securing his maiden podium finish of the season in Turkey.
"It’s a great result for the team and still, we were so close to losing it all with the Ferraris coming really strong," Perez said.
"Holding onto those tyres was the big challenge and yeah it was just about time to end the race for us. A great result, a lot of points for the team and I’m very pleased with that.
“I think as always you have to be delivering weekend after weekend you are as good as your last race so it is important to finish on a high and the race was all in my hands."
Mercedes, who have been crowned 2020 Formula One World Constructors champions, are placed at the top of the standings with an unassailable lead of 504 points.
They are followed by second-placed Red Bull and third-placed Racing Point, who have accumulated 240 points and 154 points respectively with three races remaining.
