Suzuki rider Alex Rins will look to continue his run of good form at the Grand Prix of Europe in Valencia on Sunday 8 November 2020, and possibly challenge for the MotoGP World Championship title.

The 24-year-old Spaniard has emerged as a potential threat to his teammate Joan Mir, who is leading the riders’ standings with 137 points – 32 more than Rins, who is placed sixth in the championship.

Rins has been in great form of late: three of the last four races have brought him podium finishes, including a win and second-place at the back-to-back races at MotorLand Aragon last month.

The Suzuki rider had a great battle at the last race, the Teruel Grand Prix, with Yamaha’s Franco Morbidelli, but admitted: “He was incredible, unbelievable. We rode even faster than last week and I couldn't have the chance to show him my bike a little bit to overtake him, he was so fast.”

On his championship chances, Rins explained: "It's difficult. I know that this is not a good situation for Suzuki, because they have two riders fighting for the crown.

"I know Joan is going fast, so consistent with a lot of podiums. But, still we have options. Three races to the end, so let's give our best."
