Charles Schwab Challenge, which is the 23rd event on the 2025 PGA Tour schedule, will be played in Fort Worth, Texas, USA, between 22 and 25 May.
What to know about the tournament
The tournament is played annually in May in Fort Worth at Colonial Country Club, which organizes the event and the inaugural competition was held 79 years ago in 1946.
It is one of only five tournaments given "invitational" status by the PGA Tour and it is sponsored by the Charles Schwab Corporation, which is an American multinational financial services company.

Twenty of the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) are set to compete in the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge and it will be a 136-player field played out over four days.
The field is chock-full of notables ready to take on Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner’s renovated layout, which had plenty of nods to the original Perry Maxwell design, according to the PGA.

The 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge field is headlined by defending champion Davis Riley and top 10 OWGR-ranked duo Scottie Scheffler and Hideki Matsuyama.
Zach Johnson, who is one of the most successful golfers in the history of the Charles Schwab Challenge with two titles, will also tee off at the Colonial Country Club.
Former winners of the tournament, Daniel Berger (2020), Emiliano Grillo (2023), Kevin Kisner (2017), Jordan Spieth (2016), Chris Kirk (2015), Olin Browne (1999), David Frost (1997) and Corey Pavin (1996) will also compete this weekend.
What Is At Stake
This year's Charles Schwab Challenge will see golfers compete for a share of the $9,5 million purse, with the 2025 champion receiving a cheque of $1,7 million.
The winner of this event will also receive 500 FedEx Cup points, Official World Golf Ranking points, with the points available based on field strength and the Leonard Trophy.
