Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen has another two Formula One records in his sights at the
Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday, May 26.
The Dutchman equalled the records of two F1 greats in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix which he won to go 48 points clear of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in the drivers' standings.
Verstappen secured his eighth consecutive pole position to match Ayrton Senna's run in 1988 and 1989, while he also equalled Alain Prost's 1993 record of seven straight P1 starts on the grid at the start of a season.

The 26-year-old driver held off the challenge of McLaren's Lando Norris to claim his fifth victory of the year after finishing just 0.725 seconds ahead of the Brit, who pushed him all the way in the final 10 laps.
Verstappen reported over the radio on lap 51 that his tyres were worn and admitted after the race that he had to go flat out to stay in front of Norris.

"I think the whole race I had to push flat out to try and make a gap initially," he said. "I think on the medium tyres we were quite strong, on the hard tyres it was just a bit more difficult to manage, especially in the last 10, 15 laps.
"I had no grip anymore, I was really sliding a lot. I saw Lando closing in, so the last 10 laps I was just flat out. It's very difficult when the tyres are not working anymore and you have to go flat out.
"I couldn't afford to make too many mistakes. Luckily we didn't, and super happy of course to win here today."
