2025/26 Betway Premiership
Matchday 20
Tuesday 3 March
Richards Bay v Kaizer Chiefs – Richards Bay Stadium
Siwelele FC v Stellenbosch FC – Free State Stadium
TS Galaxy v Orbit College – Mbombela Stadium
All kick-off at 19:30
Kaizer Chiefs will look to bounce back to form in the Betway Premiership this midweek, as they face Richards Bay in one of three matches played on the evening of Tuesday 3 March 2026.
Chiefs have suffered three successive losses across all competitions, most recently succumbing 0-3 at the hands of Soweto derby rivals Orlando Pirates in a league clash this past weekend. The result left the Amakhosi in fifth place on the log – 11 points adrift of leaders Pirates, albeit with a game in hand.
“The only way to bounce back is to work. We talked to the players and told them that now we have a debt to the fans,” said Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze. “The way to redeem ourselves is to pick up points and show that what happened in the derby was an accident and should not have happened. The only way is to keep our heads up and go to the next games and pick up as many points as we can.”
Richards Bay, who will host the game at the uMhlathuze Sports Complex, have not been in good form themselves, with a 0-0 draw away to struggling Orbit College on the weekend taking their winless streak to four league matches.
Elsewhere on Tuesday evening, Siwelele FC welcome Stellenbosch FC to the Free State Stadium, while, TS Galaxy will tackle Orbit College at the Mbombel Stadium.
Stellenbosch are looking to keep up their fine form, having registered back-to-back wins over Chiefs and AmaZulu FC in the past week – with coach Gavin Hunt setting an initial 30-point target (they are currently in ninth on 22 points) for the season as they continue to recover from a nightmare start.
“We just don't want to be in these situations [fighting relegation] again, so let's see, there's a lot to play for still, we've got to get to that 30-point mark, which will give you – most times – a little bit of breathing room,” explained Hunt.
Galaxy and Orbit will both be desperate for a pick-me-up in their meeting: the Rockets have suffered four successive league losses, while the Mswenko Boys are winless across all competitions since early November 2025 – a run which stretches back nine games.
