Prima Pramac Racing's Jorge Martin is hoping the team can sort out the vibration problems with his bike ahead of the Portugal Grand Prix on Sunday, March 24.

The Spaniard appears to be an early contender in 2024 after winning the sprint in the Qatar Grand Prix before going on to clam P3 on race day behind Ducati Lenovo Team's Francesco Bagnaia (1.933 seconds) and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Brad Binder (0.604 seconds).

Martin pushed two-time reigning world champion Bagnaia all the way in the title race last year, but ultimately came up just short after finishing behind the Italian in the Malaysian Grand Prix and Qatar Grand Prix, while crashing out of the Valencian Grand Prix.

The 26-year-old believes the GP24 can be "unbeatable" when operating at full capacity, although he admits chatter issues are preventing him from performing at his peak.

Martin, who finished on the podium for the first time since winning the Thailand Grand Prix on 29 October 2023, has urged the team's engineers to do their part so that he can start challenging his rivals for race honours again.

"It was a great weekend," he said. "I think we demonstrated the speed that we had. On one side I am confident that when we have the bike at its 100 per cent we can be unbeatable, but on the other hand I don't know when this is going to happen.

"At the moment we have vibrations. I cannot use the rear brake and there are some points that are my strongest areas of riding which I cannot use.

"Let's wait and let the engineers work. I have done my part, now they need to do theirs."

2024 Qatar Grand Prix results:

Winner: Francesco Bagnaia - Ducati Lenovo Team
Second Place: Brad Binder - Red Bull KTM Factory Racing
Third Place: Jorge Martin - Prima Pramac Racing
